UCAS Apply 2021 is now live - this means that you can now start to fill out your application for 2021 Entry Medicine. Why not start to fill out the easy parts of your application now. Click on the link below to head straight to sign-up for UCAS Apply 2021!
Why not take this opportunity to get ahead of the competition and get the easy part out of the way. All you need to do is fill out all the different sections so that your application is ready to send off once you have completed your Personal Statement - take a look at the Personal Statement page for more help with this.
When filling out your application on Apply 2021, you don't have to do it all at once. You can just fill it all out section-by-section, and you can save your progress so that you can come back to it at a later time. Remember that you can edit all of your information as much as you need to up until when you submit your application.
It is important to remember that you can only apply once in a cycle - do not attempt to apply more than once!
The deadline for 2021 Entry to Medicine is mid-September 2020, but we would suggest getting your application in as early as possible, so that you can then focus on the more important things.
Remember that your school/colleges deadline may be earlier so that they have time to process all of the applications.
If you are applying with your college/school, don't forget to use their buzzword. This is so that they can track your application, and so that they can add information such as predicted grades or a reference.
Even if you have applied in previous years, you will still have to create a new account that is just for 2021 Entry.
Here are a few 'top tips' for filling out your 2021 Application (via UCAS):
Use your personal e-mail, don't use your college/school e-mail address as universities will use this to contact you after you have left your college/school to give you updates about the Uni. Also make sure that you have a sensible e-mail address, otherwise you might look a little silly!
Don't forget to nominate a parent, guardian or adviser - this means that they can speak to UCAS on your behalf. UCAS will be able to speak about your application with them, but they won't be able to give them any sign-in details for security and privacy reasons.
Don't forget to put down a 5th choice that isn't a Medicine course, as you can only apply to 4 Medicine courses. We would recommend to apply for a course like Biomedical science, but this is completely up to you!
Remember that you can only apply to the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge - you cannot apply to both!
Add all of your qualifications that you have achieved since Secondary School (including GCSEs)
Add information about any Paid Job that you have in the Employment History section, but don't add any unpaid or voluntary work in this section - save this for your Personal Statement.
If you haven't already, get started on your Personal Statement so that your application will be ready to send off.
If you need any more help in relation to your application, get in touch via the contact form on our homepage, or have a look at the FAQs on the UCAS website.
